Description
Lake Titicaca, is located in the Andes mountains of South America and has shared border by both Bolivia and Peru.
The lake is said to be the place where the Inca indians originated. The Indians in order to escape attacks started building floating islands in the lake made strictly of thatch gathered from their shores.
Generation after generation have continued living on these man made floating islands. They grow their own vegetables on these floating islands and survive on their fishing abilities, and trade services or tourist trinkets they make for some of their personal needs.
